is set to be sentenced in january. the suspect in the stabbing death of a los angeles dodgers fan is a free man this morning. police say 21 year old michael montgomery was released just after 9 last night pending further investigation... but may be arrested again. the district attorney says he does not currently have enough evidence to charge montgomery with the death of 24 year old jonathan denver. denver's friend says he was probably try to protect his friends and family when a fight broke out at a bar near dodger's stadium. a former priest with ties to maryland is accused of sexually abusing an altar boy for three years. robert brennan was arrested in perryville on rape charges. brennan is named in more than 20 abuse complaints but was criminally charged for the first time this week after the new accuser came forward. he's been living in maryland ever since he was suspended following a 2005 grand jury report on sex abuse in the philadelphia archdiocese. by a party line vote... senate sends a stopgap funding bill that also provides money to the president's health care law. mike
